Our journey started with this first ever class at a Government school. English Proficiency was the title we gave this course. Twenty students, all from 9th standard, from Government High School in Amberpet, Hyderabad attended this class. Students learnt to chant six slokas during the entire class, three opening prayers and three closing prayers. The course lasted for 10 days and the kids were asked to watch a video consisting of a short story and repeat it in their own words. Several other such interesting methods were used in an attempt to generate interest in English as a language.

The closing ceremony was done on 23rd December. We invited the school in charge and others to join us for a small get together to reminisce the happenings during the course.

We were so carried away by the course that we forgot to collect a snap! Or we are not able to find any pics from this class!!
