On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, iFocus, our premier partner and our inspiration, organized a chess championship. We took two of our Soham kids to this tournament. These kids, Sameer and Mithilesh, participated in our internal chess games and appeared to have some decent talent. So, we decided to field them and test their skills on a bigger platform.

There were 15 participants in all. It was a round robin tournament with incremental reach to the top. It was very heartening to note that both of our Soham players reached the finals. It was a grand finale between two of our own. There were three hard fought finals matches. Sameer ended up winning the tournament.
