062 – Huge Applause for Yoga at iFocus Mythree Varadhi

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is FB-Cover.jpgOur Soham Academy kids, 18 girls and 11 boys, gave a stunning performance at Ravindra Bharathi. It was on the occasion of Mythree Varadhi program organized by iFocus.

This is not the first time for us at iFocus. We did this last year on the occasion of their 100th Super Sunday and later at an another Super Sunday program. This is special for three reasons. One Mythree Varadhi is iFocus’ biggest annual event. Two, Ravindra Bharati is a much bigger venue that was full to its capacity. Three, for the first time we had 29 kids in the show, the largest ever for our public performance.

This event is also special for us for another reason. This is our yoga performance in which our kids from the newest batch of 2019-20 students, students of last academic year (2018-19) and even those from the 2017-18 academic year also participated. The newest batch of kids are part of our newly launched Soham Champs program. It was really nice to watch the seniors work with their juniors and later take them to a bigger stage along with them.

This program was watched by Sri VV Laxminarayana (former CBI Joint Director), Dr. K. Subrahmanyam, Pro-Chancellor of SVYASA Yoga University, and several other luminaries. The children were at their best. The crowd started clapping at the beginning of the program and did not stop until all the kids got off the stage. Their performance was greatly appreciated and admired by all. Our little Soham Champs now realize that they can now step out of their little ponds and swim in the larger lakes.

Sri Harish Rao, former TS Cabinet Minister, joined the meeting a little later. The entire discussion on the stage veered towards yoga. It is going to be a memorable event for us. It is on this stage that Sri Harish Rao promised to work towards creating a Yoga University in Telangana on the lines of the Yoga University in Karnataka. It was at the prompting and request of Dr. K. Subrahmanyam, Pro-Chancellor of SVYASA Yoga University.

All credit for the wonderful performance goes to our yoga gurus Vignatha, Bharat and Anil, who trained our kids to take on and win on bigger platforms.

The following pictures can tell you more about what transpired at the auditorium much more than what we can say in words!
