Congratulations to our boys and girls who completed their first 10K. 5 girls and 5 boys completed their 10K at Gachibowli stadium as part of the ‘Run for a Girl Child’ programme organized by Seva Bharati. One of our boys, Naveen, completed the 10K run in under 50 minutes.
For all of them it is their first taste of success at doing something that is seemingly difficult or impossible.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that 5 girls completed their 10K along with 5 boys. 2 girls and 3 boys completed their 10K without ever slowing down to walk. Raw talent at its best. They will all be part of our 10K Wall of Fame.
3 other girls also participated in their first ever 5K.
Thus a total of 8 girls participated in this run for a girl child. That is indeed very special for us.
Our hearts brim with great satisfaction. Mr. Tipparaju Surendra, a technical leader at Microsoft, and who has been a great supporter of our cause, joined us in the wee hours to cheer our boys and girls.
Their gurus Yogesh and Azeez walked the talk, rather ‘ran the talk’. They also participated in the 10K race.
