038 – Kabaddi 2nd place at Gurukul Academy

Our under 14 boys won second place in a private tournament conducted by Gurukul Sports Academy. In our previous mandal level tournament where we won the first prize in under 17 category, the participation was primarily from the government schools. In this case, however, it is a private tournament in which many private schools participated. We won the second prize in the under 14 category. Our under 17 team lost in the second round. Ours is the only government school in the tournament. We lost to a better team that was well equipped in all aspects. (more…)

034 – Winners – iFocus Chess Championship

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, iFocus, our premier partner and our inspiration, organized a chess championship. We took two of our Soham kids to this tournament. These kids, Sameer and Mithilesh, participated in our internal chess games and appeared to have some decent talent. So, we decided to field them and test their skills on a bigger platform.

033 – Kabaddi Champs at Mandal Level Competition

A memorable and historic day at Soham Academy of Human Excellence.

At the Inter School Mandal Level tournament, our under 17 boys won the finals in the Kabaddi competitions. They represented our Government High School, CPL, Himayatnagar. Our boys defeated a very reputed team – Kacheguda Government School, in the finals. They defeated another well known team – Hyderguda Government School – in the semi-finals. That semi-final match ended in a tie but we won that match in the extra time. (more…)
