We did it again. Like always, whenever we do something wonderful there is usually an overwhelming response from many other students. When we did the 5K with 15 kids, we were forced to participate again with 50 kids. The same thing happened with Yoga too. We did one Yoga show on Republic Day and we got another opportunity to do the same on Science Day on Feb 12, 2018. This time 25 new kids, 12 girls and 13 boys came together to participate in another full fledged show each. Both the boys and girls came out on top with wonderful performances. These photos speak for themselves about some of the most difficult asanas that they were able perform. We are very very proud of our boys and girls who practiced very hard for 9 days in a row. In all, this year, 37 kids got trained in Yoga!
One additional shining moment on the Science Day: our small army of Samskrit sloka Chanters took up the challenge of learning Samskrit Slokas that are embedded with well organized scientific information from ancient Samskritic wisdom. It was a big hit too.
Wonderful job again by Vignatha and Bharat, two wonderful yoga trainers. It is because of them that our kids are able to realize that they can do many more things beyond their comfort zone. We now have a new “stretched” comfort zone. We have to beat it again!
Also many thanks to Madhushalini ma’am and Sridhar sir for encouraging the kids to do things that are normally considered very difficult to do.

P.S: One of the kids mentioned to me that he is teaching Surya Namaskars to two of his sisters. As soon as the programme got over that day, a kid from 6th class came to me and asked me when we are going to start Yoga training for 6th grade kids. I told him he has to wait. His parting remark was “You have to start soon. Compulsory sir”. That made my day!
